This is great,would be great on a tee,last time I painted John,it was on a piece of timber from a old tree,this would be about 2003,I think john died in 02?Well,i did this and painted the whole bark black,everything and then,my father mistook it for firewood took it from it's place of drying and put it in the fireplace,goodbye Johnny a ring of fire,

both tragic and kind of fitting in a way as well.. always terrible to lose a piece though. I think it would be great for a tee, but i'd like to put him on a pumpkin when the time is right

Aha! a pumpkin,yes I have always wanted to paint Johnnys mugshot from New Mexico back in 65',he just reminded me so much of Abraham Lincoln on the penny there,maybe it is just my imagination,also the Carter Family would be fun to tackle drawing,perhaps charcoal maybe?

Anything's possible, i'm not a fan of using charcoal myself, i like to smudge and erase pencil just fine
